Leicester close to appointing Dean Smith as interim manager
Leicester City are close to ap point ing former Brentford, Aston Villa and Norwich manager Dean Smith on an interim deal until the end of the season. The Foxes ended the tenure of Brendan Rodgers after the last-gasp 2-1 defeat to Crystal Palace on April 1, but have fared no better under caretakers Adam Sadler and Mike Stowell in their following two Premier League outings - losing to Villa and relegation rivals Bournemouth.
