A statement released Friday by the intelligence directorate of Ukraine's Defense Ministry claimed that Russian forces would strike the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant, the biggest in Europe, and then report a radioactive leak in order to trigger an international probe that would pause the hostilities and give the Russian forces the respite they need to regroup ahead of the counteroffensive. The stunning settlement emerged just as opening statements were supposed to begin, abruptly ending a case that had embarrassed Fox News over several months and raised the possibility that network founder Rupert Murdoch and stars such as Tucker Carlson and Sean Hannity would have to testify publicly. “The truth matters. Lies have consequences,” Dominion lawyer Justin Nelson told reporters outside a Delaware courthouse after Superior Court Judge Eric Davis announced the deal. Outside of the $787.5 million promised to Colorado-based Dominion, it was unclear what other consequences Fox would face. Fox acknowledged in a statem...

Report debunks LeBron James' claims that Lakers have been wronged by refs -- actually, the opposite is true

The Los Angeles Lakers have been on the wrong end of some high-profile officiating miscues of late. The most recent was LeBron James clearly getting fouled by Jayson Tatum on a Game -winning layup attempt against the Boston Celtics on Saturday (which the Last Two Minute Report confirmed the following day), only to have the refs swallow their whistle and allow the Game to go into overtime, where the Lakers lost.  LeBron James was clearly fouled with a chance to win the Lakers-Celtics Game , but the refs didn't call it. He was not happy. 🏀 pic.twitter.com/Y5kBjTHg1o — The Comeback (@thecomeback) January 29, 2023 A few weeks earlier, James was burned by a no-call on another potential Game -winning layup attempt in a double-overtime loss to the Dallas Mavericks; the Last Two Minute Report confirmed that Christian Wood indeed hacked LeBron with the score tied and the final seconds ...
