VFW State Commander Tiger Patrick took charge and rallied the VFW membership, volunteers, and other veterans didn’t let the rain stop removing the blue paint sprayed by vandals on the stones representing the branches of service in the Garden of Heroes Memorial. Tiger Patrick’s message to the vandals, “Just know you hurt a lot of people.” An ongoing state police investigation continues on the vandalism that occurred last week at the memorial honoring Rhode Islanders soldiers who gave the ultimate sacrifice since 911.
