Luis Diaz's father has revealed that his son's " dream " is to play for La Liga giants Barcelona in the future. Diaz's father was recently handed over to UN officials after being kidnapped, alongside his wife Cilenis Marulanda, by the ELN - a left-wing rebel group that's been active in Colombia since 1964 - after a lengthy spell in captivity. For the first time since his release, Diaz's father was in attendance to watch his son play in a 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier between Colombia and Brazil this week, and bore witness to the wide forward bagging a brace in a famous win for his country. Erik ten Hag has criticised Manchester United's forward line for their performance in their narrow 1-0 win over Wolves on Monday evening. The Red Devils had to rely on a 76th minute goal from defender Raphael Varane to get them over the line against a spirited Wolves at Old Trafford, with Man Utd only managing three shots on target during the Game - half the number Wolves managed. Heat sign Kevin Love: Veteran forward lands in Miami after getting buyout from Cavaliers

Kevin Love has found a new NBA home. After agreeing to a buyout with the Cleveland Cavaliers on Saturday, Love will sign with the Miami Heat for the remainder of the season, he confirmed Sunday. Love also talked with the Philadelphia 76ers before deciding to sign with the Heat. With the Heat he figures to have a sizable role as Miami makes a playoff push over the backend of the season.  In Miami, Love will provide the Heat with some added frontcourt depth, giving them a floor spacing forward who can still knock down 3s at a high clip. On the season, Love is shooting 35 percent from long range, and he's a career 37 percent shooter from beyond the arc.  Love suited up for the Cavs for nine seasons from 2014 to 2023 and played an integral role when the team made four straight NBA Finals appearances from 2015 to 2018 and captured the first championship in franchise History in 2016.
